Who can refer?

Any team currently live on Koah. You refer on behalf of your company, and the fee is paid to your company.

How much do I earn?

A one-time fee set by the referred app's US query volume when the referral qualifies: $20,000 at 4M queries a month and up, $10,000 from 500K to 4M, and $2,500 from 100K to 500K. If an app comes in well above 4M, we may pay more at our discretion.

How is query volume measured?

US-based queries per month, counted over the trailing 30-day period at the point the referral qualifies. Boundaries are inclusive at the lower bound, so an app at exactly 500K earns $10,000 and one at exactly 4M earns $20,000. Apps under 100K US queries a month are not eligible.

What makes a referral valid?

You introduce us by email with them copied in, before we have had any contact with them. That one email is both the intro and your written claim. We confirm or decline within 10 business days, and our determination on first contact and query volume is final.

Question 5

When do I get paid?

Once the referred app has been live and active for 45 consecutive days, we pay within 30 days of that mark. No invoice, no new paperwork.

Question 6

Who does the money go to?

Your company, paid out through the same Stripe account we already send your revenue share to. We cannot pay an individual. If you need it paid to a different entity, say so when you make the intro and we'll get that one set up in Stripe.

Question 7

What if they never go live?

Accepted Answer

No fee is due. A referral lapses if the app has not gone live within 180 days of the day you submitted it, and after that any partner can refer them again.

Question 8

Is there a cap on how many I can refer?

No. Each qualified referral earns its own one-time fee.

Question 9

Do the fees recur?

Accepted Answer

No. Each referral pays once. There is no renewal fee and no downstream revenue share on a referred app.

Question 10

Does this change my own Koah deal?

Accepted Answer

No. Referral fees sit alongside your revenue share, and they are accounted for against any minimum guarantee already committed in your agreement.
